I was sitting in the grass on a beautiful day today outside my school. I happened to look up and see a girl I know whom I was sitting with give another girl a smoke, I didn't think much of it at first but when I glanced up again I saw that the girl was pregnant. I was disgusted. I said something out loud and the other girls I was with just said: "So?". Again I was disgusted. I said: "Well, she could at least quit for the baby". They all scowled at me saying things like: "It would go through withdrawals and die", "It would stress out the baby", "It's better to keep smoking", "The baby will be born addicted and then die a little bit after". They had to be the dumbest comments I have heard in awhile, besides comments here and there from a certain classmate.
I'm pretty sure any doctor would advise you to quit smoking while you are pregnant. Not say "Oh yeah, Keep smoking it's better!". If you are worried about it going through withdrawals, what about when the baby comes out? Are you just going to make it smoke or feed it nicotine? Didn't think so. If you quit early enough your child will not go through these "withdrawals". Also stress doesn't kill babies. If it did, there would be a lot less babies in the world. Stress doesn't deform babies. If it did, there wouldn't be any able bodied people in the world. If you are willing to bring a child into the world, quit for your baby because you're supposed to do anything for your child.
